Summer Nostalgia Series Candle Collection
To achieve optimal scent throw from your candle, first be sure that the candle size is appropriate for the room. The candle size should mimic the size of the room. Small candles for small rooms, like a bathroom, and large 3-wick candles for large, open spaces with high ceilings.
To get the optimum lifespan and burn time from this handcrafted candle, please observe these candle care tips:
On first lighting, burn for a minimum of 2 hours OR until entire top is fully melted to edges (full melt pool). In general, this takes about an hour per inch diameter of the jar (a 3in diameter jar will take approx 3hrs to reach full melt pool). Candles have a "burn memory" and will not perform ideally on subsequent burns if a full melt pool is not achieved on the first burn.
For subsequent lightings, always burn until a 1/4" deep melt pool is achieved, but preferably not in excess of 1/2". Burning the candle longer may evaporate the fragrance too quickly and weaken the scent throw over time.
When extinguishing, ensure the wick is straight and centered.
ALWAYS keep wick trimmed to a max of 1/4" before lighting. This simple step helps the candle to burn cleaner with less soot. It prevents wick crumbling and curling. But be careful not to get trim the wick too short, which can make it difficult to keep the wick lit.
Do not allow ash or dust to accumulate in melt pool.
Only light candles on a flat, even, heatproof surface. Rotate regularly to ensure an even melt pool.
Do NOT move candle while burning.
Keep out of direct sunlight.
Abide by safety instructions on bottom of container.
