Marisposa - the Spanish word for butterfly
Butterflies have alway held our fascination. The humble butterfly, often celebrated for its beauty and grace, holds deep symbolic meaning across various cultures worldwide. These colorful creatures have flapped their way into the human psyche, representing transformation, resurrection, endurance, and hope throughout time.
In many cultures, the butterfly's metamorphosis symbolizes the soul's journey from an earthly existence to a spiritual one. The Aztecs believed that butterflies were in charge of taking the souls of warriors who had died in battle, as well as the souls of women who died giving birth, to their final resting place. One Indigenous legend claims that Monarchs are the souls of children who have died and returned. Coincidentally, the butterflies typically arrive at their winter migratory resting place in Mexico City on November 1-2nd, celebrated as the "Day of the Dead" in Mexican culture.
Butterflies also symbolize freedom, lightness, and joy, reminding us to let go of our burdens. They can also serve as messengers of spiritual evolution and connection with the divine.
Our beautiful Mariposa bar is made with a design technique called the butterfly swirl. Each bar contains a colorful wispy swirl that looks something like a butterfly. Bright, bubbly citrus top notes dance on juicy ripe blackberry notes that entwine with fresh herbaceous notes of earthy sage, garden mint, and rosemary. An uplifting garden-fresh medley that a butterfly would appreciate!

- Don't allow your soap to sit in a puddle of water.
- Use a wash cloth, loofah or soap saver bag to extend the life of your soap bar.
- Use your soap bar within one year of purchase. I know they're pretty to look at, but they're intended to be used so enjoy them! :)
