We may be heading into Pisces season, but it's also Valentine's season! And fish don't scream love, unless we're talking a lobster dinner date, LOL. So here's a more Valentines appropriate soap offering to celebrate the season of love. (Of course, Venus will feature more prominently next month as we head into Aries season!)
The diminutive God of Love, Cupid, is often depicted with bees, and more specifically being stung by bees. According to the fable told by the Greek poet Theocritus, in his Idylls, Venus laughs and says: 'Are you not just like the bee - so little yet able to inflict such painful wounds?' Cupid the Honey Thief was part of a series of watercolour illustrations of mythological subjects which Dürer painted in 1514. This delightful watercolour tells the story of Cupid, the god of love, who ran to his mother Venus, the Roman Goddess of Love, vainly trying to escape a swarm of bees whose honeycomb he had stolen. In his rush to escape, Cupid dropped his arrows. Later Cupid was said to dip his "love arrows" in honey, and speak with a "honey-sweet" tongue.
The book The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly P. Hall states "The bee is sacred to the goddess Venus and, according to mystics, it is one of several life forms of life which came to earth from the planet Venus millions of years ago."
Our Honey of Venus bar celebrates the season of love with a rich, rose aromatic palette punctuated by apple, raspberry, delicate spring florals, sweet, sticky honey notes and a soothing embrace of amber and vanilla. The addition of raw, local honey amps up the bubbly factor (sugar = sumptious lather!) in this beautiful bar.

Handmade soaps need to breathe! We recommend storing your soap on a slatted or free draining soap dish so that it can air dry in between uses.
- Remove botanical toppings prior to use.
- Don't allow your soap to sit in a puddle of water.
- Use a wash cloth, loofah or soap saver bag to extend the life of your soap bar.
- Use your soap bar within one year of purchase. I know they're pretty to look at, but they're intended to be used so enjoy them! :)
- Store unused soap out of direct sunlight and away from extreme temperature fluctuations and high humidity conditions.
