Each month, starting with an early December 2024 release with Capricorn, we’ll introduce you to star stories, astrobotanical and aromastrology delights through our meticulously planned pairings of products and aromatic alchemy. Through our blog posts and product listings, we’ll guide you through each star sign and all of their associations, including the Elements, Planetary influences, and even Tarot cards. This is our most laborious and fascinating undertaking yet!

A BRIEF HISTORY OF ASTROLOGY
The beauty of the sky and the stars has attracted human attention since the beginning of time, and our fascination with celestial bodies has shaped humanity like no other influence. Astrology, in its broadest sense, is the search for meaning in the sky. Astrology is an ancient art, pre-dating all organized religions, allowing people to seek divine inspiration from the heavens and feel connected to the Universe. It is a type of divination that involves the forecasting of earthly and human events through the observation and interpretation of the fixed stars, the Sun, the Moon, and the planets. In ancient times it was inseparable from astronomy and, in fact, throughout much of history, astrology was considered an academic discipline and was commonly accepted in political and cultural circles with astrological concepts applied in other fields including alchemy, meteorology, and traditional medicine. Ancient civilizations looked to the stars to guide them through their lives, to predict and prepare for seasonal changes, to explain astrological events such as eclipses, and utilized the stars’ positions to create calendars to mark the passage of time. Some of the most awe-inspiring structures on the planet were built to mark specific moments of the year, like the Solstices, and feature direct alignment to the Sun or specific constellations on these dates. Astrology remains a significant and powerful tool for many seeking guidance in an unpredictable world.
Western astrology, one of the oldest astrological systems still in use, can trace its roots to 19th–17th century BCE Mesopotamia, from where it spread to Ancient Greece, Rome, the Islamic world, and eventually Central and Western Europe. Though the Babylonians first created the 12 astrological signs, our current astrological concept comes from the ancient Greeks, known as the fathers of ancient astronomy. The popular Greek system divided the cosmos according to the 12 constellations of the Zodiac and the bright stars that rise at intervals cast a spiritual influence over human affairs.While the Western zodiac is the most widely recognized, other cultural practices have also shaped astrology worldwide - from the Vedic astrology of India to Chinese astrology, rooted in Taoist philosophy.

Today, astrology is more popular than ever. Its archetypes are found in myths and stories around the world, offering a language for understanding universal patterns of human experience. Ultimately, astrology is a tool that can help us understand and guide our soul path in its evolution.
A PREVIEW OF OUR ASTROLOGICAL COLLECTIONS
We have diligently researched and put an enormous amount of detail and layers of symbolism into each product that will feature in our monthly collections.
Each month’s product collection will feature a signature soap that artistically expresses that sign’s energy with an aromatic palette that captures the soul of that Sun sign. Did we perhaps completely overthink every detail just to make some pretty soap? Yeah…most definitely. But you already know that we wouldn’t do it any other way!
In addition to the signature soap, we’ll offer a variety of additional soaps that represent key moments for that month (like the full moon, a planetary retrograde, or an eclipse), constellations that feature prominently in the sky alongside the zodiac constellation, and other figures and ancient myths that correlate with that sign. This is where we’ll have the most fun and dive into stories both familiar and obscure. The variety of each collection will also offer broad appeal. So even if you aren’t a fan of astrology, you’ll still enjoy this journey through our galactic garden!
The four elements - Earth, Air, Fire, Water - are key components associated with each astrological sign. The elements speak to the core essence of each sign, and each element influences 3 signs. Elemental magick will feature prominently within each product collection. Each element will have its own product that ties in with the particular season as well. From body sprays to bath salts, we'll have exciting new offerings every month that we hope you will love. We’re not sharing all the details just yet - the surprise reveals are just too much fun!
Every Zodiac sign has a ruling Planet. These planets express a powerful influence on each sign. You’ll see the planets featured in every collection, including a dedicated perfume roller, soaps for some, and (maybe) even a planetary bath bomb collection!
Did you know that every Zodiac sign also has a corresponding Tarot card? We’ll debut a new lotion scent every month with a Tarot card theme! We'll explore the meanings of each card for that sign. We'll curate a special collection of stickers and other unique accessories (tarot decks??) that will make fun add-ons for gifting our signature Zodiac products.
Aromatics - from perfume oil rollers to candles and all our usual offerings- will cover lots of ground in each collection. Candles for the fire signs? Of course! Perfume rollers for each sign? Naturally! As always, we lean into the seasons to guide our craft. An air element aromatic for Aquarius season will be much different than a Libra season aromatic.
Did I mention crystals?! We’ve got some very special plans for all you crystal lovers. We’ve been working very hard to put together beautiful and meaningful pocket stone sets for every sign. And, of course, our retail shop will offer beautiful crystal offerings that correspond with each collection.
For the avid Zodiac fan, we’ll be offering a customizable monthly gift set. Sets will be beautifully presented and include the signature soap along with your choice of additional options from perfume rollers to crystal sets. Need the perfect birthday gift? This is the one!
Now, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no expert in astrology or tarot or really, any of this, LOL. I know a little bit about a lot because I’m a curious creature - can you tell that I’m a Gemini?? To be honest, I’ve read over my birth chart more than a dozen times and still barely grasp most of it. This themed collection is about having fun, as we like to do, and stretching our wings in new ways. I may blunder here and there or gloss over certain points….because let’s be honest, I’m making soap and conveying entertaining stories to sell that soap. So let’s just enjoy this celestial trip around the Zodiac wheel as the creative endeavor that it is and learn a bit together!
